Sometimes you just gotta go with the flow.
We recently became owners of a vintage, 1913 C&P Letterpress. It is a 1200lb piece of history that is sitting in my garage being readied for a new future. Family thinks we’re nuts. Friends keep asking what are we going to do with it.
Since we really don’t know where this journey is heading, and we are totally making it up as we go along, we created another blog just to chronicle our experience. So far we’ve shared how we found the press, cleaned the press, ordered plates for the press and got parts for the press.
As to what are we going to do with the press, well, we are going to design and create. Design and create what? Whatever we want! That’s the cool part. We are just excited to have an opportunity to mix digital design with such an analog, turn-of-the-century press to create authentic, hand crafted art.
For our inaugural christening of the press we are going to print our personal Christmas cards. Nothing over the top. Just an experience experiment to share with our close family and friends. If you’d like to receive a Limited-Experience Edition Christmas Card, just email us your mailing address to
We invite you to follow us on this journey. How? Follow us on Twitter at @circaletterpres. You can also follow our Tumblr blog at circaletterpress.com
Thanks to all those that have already given so much of their resources to help us out on this super cool adventure. You know who you are;)
