It's like being on a boat - the goal isn't to get somewhere, it's to have fun getting there and to make friends along the way :)

Glad you guys got your bike back and are taking advantage of every sunny moment!

Hey girl thanks for your thoughts. When I was in Cali, I was surprised to see motorcycles continually ride past standing traffic. When I inquired about that I found out that they are actually allowed to do that and that the law expects the car to move out of the way. I can assure you that is not the case in Miami. Motorcyclist are actual moving targets for the cars.

The reason my bike was at the Harley dealer for 4 months was because a lady conned her way into traffic and didn't bother to look left... she cut me off and I hit, head on, the driver's side door.

In regards to your concerns, driving a cruiser is awesome because it's loud (people notice you), It's bigger and going slow is part of the action. Motorcycling for us is about the journey NOT getting somewhere. So, for all those riders that are in such a speedy hurry, they are totally missing the point.

I have to say that I HATE it when bikers assume they have the absolute right of way and they zoom and zip in and out of traffic. Obviously, CA traffic is brutal and I understand bypassing as much as possible, but they are rarely going the allowed 10 mph faster than traffic speed (if I am remembering that rule correctly). Anyway, I bet it's great, but please also remember to be considerate to the other drivers on the road and not zip in and out and cruise up next to us and make us move out of your way. Keep your distance too please! :o) It's very scary when I can't see the biker and I always check twice...

I'm not saying you guys do this - and I know there is a big diff between the cruiser bikes and the rockets and the people that drive them :o) Just some thoughts I had on the subject.
